I spent quite a long time in Arizona and it left a real mark on me. I think it has some of the best roads in the US. My favourite roads are the long flat straight roads through the desert. I wanted to try and capture something of that in the painting. As you can see I incorporated the famous red rocks and the Arizona state sign going past at speed.
