'Salt fever' The painting celebrates the Bonneville salt flats in northwestern Utah. The motorcycle manufacturer Triumph named one of their most successful motorcycles after Bonneville and this painting pays tribute to that. The beat up old pickup sits in contrast to the pristine flat tracker bike on the back. The passing rider has certainly noticed what's on the back of that pickup.
